Biography --
.
Michelle Joan Papillion, is a young talent with a natural gift. She began
her path in performing arts at the age of 6, when she began her studies
in music and dance. Later, her childhood teachers would convince her
mother that she was an exceptional student academically, but also the
class clown, quick with her answers and jokes. It was then, when she
was 11, that she was enrolled into private instruction for music and
began studying full time at a performing arts school.
Michelle would continue her studies in Music, both vocally and
instrumentally, Dance (ballet), and Theater until she graduated from
high school at 17. Determined to prove that she could equally be great
at something other than performing, she declared her major in her
freshman year at Howard University as a "Classicist" (The ability to
read, write, and translate ancient Greek, Latin and Egyptian). She was
quickly drawn into her studies of ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, but
the arts could not escape her. A year later as a sophomore, she declared
her second major in Art History, and a minor in Archeology.
After Howard University, she worked in The Arts a few years as a
freelance Curator, and an Art Critic for various European publications.
But it would not be long before her creative performing side would be
calling her back. October 2005 would be the time when she decided to
pursue her career in acting professionally full-time. After leaving her
work in London, she returned to New York and enrolled in acting
classes at the Actors Studio. And she hasn't regret it, or looked back.
